For many young people the idea of heading to university and having to live independently for the first time can be nerve wracking.
Sixth form student Ellen Wright feels confident about that next step though, having already become accustomed to living away from home.
Now in Year 13 at St David's College with plans to progress to higher education in September, Ellen joined the school in Year 7 and spent her first five years as a full boarder.
Now head girl at the Llandudno school, she believes her time spent living on campus has helped stand her in good stead for her next educational steps.
