Horrified witnesses have described how a man covered in blood staggered into a Tesco Express after being 'stabbed in the leg'.
It's thought the 34-year-old was attacked at a nearby house party, before fleeing the scene to seek help. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the horrific scenes unfolded in Radcliffe on Sunday morning.
Bloody footprints could be seen on the pavement leading from where the attack is thought to have taken place on Grosvenor Street.
An air ambulance landed on nearby Water Street while witnesses say armed police were also scrambled to the incident. One local shopkeeper described how his CCTV cameras filmed the man, accompanied by a woman, 'zig-zagging' along the pavement after being stabbed.
