Billy Joel has postponed his UK shows until next year due to health reasons.The iconic singer, songwriter and pianist initially shared details of his gigs back in September – confirming that he would be headed over to the UK for two huge headline shows.
These included a stop at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield on June 7, followed by a show at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on June 21.For the former, it would mark his first time playing in the Scottish city for 46 years.
For the latter, it was set to be his first time playing in Liverpool in 45 years.However, he has now shared a new update, postponing both gigs until next year due to a “medical condition”.In a statement from his team, the decision to push back the gigs comes as he is currently recovering from surgery and set to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors.
