OK, so Billie Eilish does an interview every year with Vanity Fair, the “Same Interview” series, in which she’s answered the same questions on her birthday, each December 18, one year later, as she’s grown up as a teen and rising star in the music industry.

Her changing answers, showing her developing priorities and POV, has been fascinating and insightful. The first time she did it she was 16 years old.

Now she’s 23. And so things have gotten a little more… adult. In the Eighth Year interview, published Wednesday, she answered whether she’d accomplished her goals from the previous year.

Turns out one of her goals for 2024? Well, Billie from this year responded, laughing heartily: Good for her! But, uh… We can’t help thinking… That’s… an inneresting goal.
