Billie Eilish‘s single ‘Birds Of Feather’ was the most streamed song on Spotify in 2024.The track, which is taken from her third album ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’, clocked up 1,775,172,881 streams to beat off Sabrina Carpenter‘s huge hit ‘Espresso’.The latter finished 650,000 streams behind on 1,774,525,704 listens on the streaming platform.Eilish’s hit reached Number Two in the official UK singles chart and in the same position in Billboard’s Hot 100 in the US.It was recently named as the 12th best song of 2024 by NME.

Her album ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’, was also named in NME’s list of the Best Albums Of 2024, coming in at Number Nine.The hit is also nominated for three Grammy awards including Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year and best Pop Solo Performance.Carpenter’s single meanwhile, topped the UK singles chart and has also been nominated for Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the Grammys, while ‘Bed Chem’ was named as one of NME’s 50 best songs of 2024.Speaking about her hit, Carpenter recently said that upon its release, she felt she had “literally no idea” if the public would like it.“I remember deciding to put this song out in the beginning of summer and thinking espresso, coffee is kind of more of a fall beverage,” she said.
