Billie Eilish’s ‘Birds of a Feather’ Slips Past Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso’ as Most-Streamed Spotify Song in 2024

Steven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer Billie Eilish kicked off the New Year with yet another milestone, as “Birds of a Feather” became the most-streamed song on Spotify in 2024.

The song, included on her third album “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” took the streaming throne with 1,775,172,881 listens in 2024. She just slipped past Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Espresso” by nearly 650,000 streams, as Carpenter’s summer smash closed the year with 1,774,525,704 listens on the platform. “Birds of a Feather” was yet another hit for Eilish following its release last May.

The track, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, will be contending in numerous categories at the Grammy Awards next month including song of the year, record of the year and best pop solo performance.

Following the release of “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” the pop star spent the better part of the autumn on her headlining tour, which kicked off in Canada before making its way through the United States and culminating with five shows Inglewood, CA’s Kia Forum.
