The bigger the bear, the better! Katmai National Park has kicked off its annual Fat Bear Week from Oct. 5 to 11, 2022, in which some of Alaska’s biggest bears are ranked ahead of winter hibernation.  The week celebrates the resilience, adaptability and strength of Katmai’s brown bear population as the animals prepare to hibernate, according to the National Park Service (NPS). The single elimination tournament has matched up 12 bears to compete for the title of fattest bear.

Convicted felon Anna Sorokin was freed Friday after 17 months in detention and was headed back to New York City, where she'll remain on house arrest as her deportation case winds through immigration court, according to her spokesman. "She got out Friday afternoon," her spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, told Fox News Digital.

Mark Kelly and Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, the Democrats’ gubernatorial nominee.

A Missouri woman snagged a rare catch while going fishing with her family.  Holly Haddan’s once-in-a-lifetime catch was identified by officials as a golden crappie, which is born with a genetic condition that makes its scales a shiny, vibrant yellow color. Holly Haddan found an extremely rare golden crappie fish in her private pond on Wednesday.  (Missouri Department of Conservation) In a Facebook post, the Missouri Department of Conservation shared a picture of the unique fish.The department said the vibrant golden color is caused by a genetic condition called xanthochroism.

After being accused of using the music of a popular British pop band without permission, Beyoncé is hitting back, calling the allegations "erroneous and incredibly disparaging." During the 2022 Broad Music Inc Awards in London, Fred and Richard Fairbrass, leading members of the band "Right Said Fred," called her arrogant for using their song "I'm Too Sexy" in her recent Renaissance track "Alien Superstar." "Normally the artist approaches us but Beyoncé didn’t because she is such an arrogant person," the pair told the Sun. "She just had probably thought ‘come and get me’, so we heard about it after the fact, when you did." "To use our melody they need our permission so they send us the demo and we approve it and if so we get a co-write credit," they added.
