mirror.co.ukJoe Biden has broken Barack Obama's record for the most votes of any presidential candidate in history - with the figure only expected to rise.
The Democrat currently boasts at least 71.2 million votes, having surpassed the former President's record of 69.4 million set in 2008.
The ex-Vice President and Senator currently has 50.3 per cent of all votes counted so far compared to incumbent President Donald Trump's 48.1 per cent.
And that's with only around 87 per cent of votes counted, with mail-in votes - which can continue to be counted until November 10 - expected to heavily fall in his favour.
