Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

Joe Biden has broken Barack Obama's record for the most votes of any presidential candidate in history - with the figure only expected to rise.

The Democrat currently boasts at least 71.2 million votes, having surpassed the former President's record of 69.4 million set in 2008.

The ex-Vice President and Senator currently has 50.3 per cent of all votes counted so far compared to incumbent President Donald Trump's 48.1 per cent.

And that's with only around 87 per cent of votes counted, with mail-in votes - which can continue to be counted until November 10 - expected to heavily fall in his favour.
