Facebook to share one of the last pictures of the late actress to mark what would have been her 100th birthday.The Golden Girls' star's assistant Kiersten took over Bety's Facebook account on Monday to share the final photo and offer a heartfelt message to her fans.She said: "Hello Everyone!
It’s Kiersten. Betty’s Assistant. On this special day, I wanted to share this photo of Betty."It was taken on 12/20/21. I believe it's one of the last photos of her.She was radiant and beautiful and as happy as ever."Thanks to all of you who are doing kind things today and every day to make the world a better place."Fans of the late star took to the comments to show appreciation of the actress and remember her.Elizabeth Feldhausen of Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary Inc wrote: "We have been receiving SO many donations in honour of Betty today."She is making such a huge difference for the cats with disabilities at Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary Inc."In the picture, Betty can be seen sitting on an armchair in a lovely green patterned silk blazer, a green top, and white bottoms.Kiersten said the picture was taken on December 20, less than two weeks before the Golden Girls actress died.Betty passed away from a cerebrovascular accident, which is defined as, "loss of blood flow to part of the brain, resulting in brain tissue damage".The Golden Girls actress had also suffered a stroke just six days prior.Betty filmed a final interview for the documentary Betty White: A Celebration, which will air on Monday.The film will include Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and James Corden to name a few.Producers Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday that she filmed the interview just 11 days before her.
