He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. During an episode of The Daily Beast’s podcast, The New Abnormal, Stiller discussed how he jumped at the opportunity to have Donald Trump and his wife appear in the movie for a cameo.
According to Stiller, they were shooting at the VH1 Fashion Awards which has since been disbanded, and when they walked up the red carpet, they asked if Melania and Donald wanted to appear in the movie.
Of course, Donald Trump is now the president of the United States. At the time, Donald was merely a famous socialite who signified success and loud.
