Ben Affleck has been singing the praises of his ex, Jennifer Lopez. Despite their divorce, the 52 year old actor, gushed about J-Lo's performance in her new film Unstoppable, which he and pal Matt Damon produced.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Ben compared Unstoppable to another current project, the Cillian Murphy-led movie Small Things Like These, saying: "Unstoppable' is a very different movie than this but in a way it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists. " He went on to commend the entire cast, including Don Cheadle, Jharrel Jerome, and Bobby Cannavale, before adding: "Jennifer is spectacular." He also expressed his pride in both projects, stating: "[Unstoppable is] another one that we’re really really proud of.
We believed in the right people [in Small Things Like These] and Unstoppable is another example of that." Ben's comments come after Jennifer confessed last month that ending her marriage to Ben nearly broke her, but she doesn't regret her decision.The star opened up in a candid chat with Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine.
She said: "I was thinking about this time in my life, and I’m like, 'That’s not what I thought it was going to turn out like.' And then I thought, 'No, this is exactly where I needed to be, to lead me to where I want to go.'" When asked if she regretted any of the pain she went through, she firmly responded: "Not one second.That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good.
