The much-loved character actress, Mary Pat Gleason, died of cancer this week, age 70, according to a post on her Facebook page.
Most known for her roles in TV sitcom Mom and the film A Cinderella Story, co-starring Hilary Duff, Mary was a regular in Hollywood.
No matter what, you know her face, as she had many memorable roles in over 100 smash hit television shows and movies. Originally from Minnesota, Mary started her career with a role in the 1980s sitcom, Texas.
From there, she went on to win a daytime Emmy for her writing on the show The Guiding Light, which she also starred in as Jane Hogan.
