A much-loved grandfather died after becoming embroiled in a scrap with his son-in-law, an inquest has concluded. Wayne Charles Pugh passed away after pressure was applied to his neck and he suffered a heart problem.
Mr Pugh, from Tonmawr in South Wales, went to the Cimla home of his daughter, Lisa Andrews, on October 2, 2019, to solve a dispute between her and her husband, Stephen.
However, the dad quickly got into a heated row with Mr Andrews and died during their altercation, Wales Online reports. Emergency services were called to the scene but Mr Pugh was pronounced dead.
An inquest into the death heard that he arrived at the property feeling "agitated" and was angered to see Mr Andrews with a drink in his hand.The pair had an argument involving "pushing, shoving, and grabbing" but no punches were thrown.
