Beach Volleyball Heads to CBS, CW in AVP Rights Pact

Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor Beach volleyball is getting ready for a new moment in the sun. The Association of Volleyball Professionals, or AVP, has struck two new multi-year rights pacts with Paramount Global’s CBS Sports and Nexstar’s CW.

Under terms of the deal, CBS will broadcast the 2025 AVP League Championship on Sunday, August 31, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with other matches appearing throughout the season on CBS Sports Network.

Meanwhile, the CW will air volleyball matches from across the nation on Saturday nights, from Memorial Day through Labor Day from 8 p.m.

to 10 p.m. The new deals “are going to provide a platform to get this incredible sport more consistency and in front of as many eyeballs as we possibly can,” says Robert Corvino, the league’s commissioner, during an interview.
