As the Strictly Come Dancing final edges closer, the nine remaining celebs are pulling out all the stops to dazzle the judges and nab that elusive perfect score of 40, which has yet to be awarded this series.

After a couple of themed weeks, the BBC show returned to its classic sparkle on Saturday night - without fan favourite Amy Dowden.The episode opened with the contestants strutting down the iconic Strictly staircase in their shimmering outfits, accompanied by their pro dance partners.

But it was Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe who were under the spotlight, having narrowly escaped elimination last week in a dance-off against Sam Quek.

Scoring a solid 35 previously, they're eager to impress with their Paso Doble this time around. However, as the show got underway, the focus shifted to Amy Dowden's unexpected withdrawal from the competition due to injury.
