Strictly Come Dancing viewers are begging bosses for a 'rule change' after Amanda Abbington quit the BBC dance contest earlier this week.
The Sherlock actress, 49, has left the competition ahead of Halloween week, which came after she was unable to perform with her partner Giovanni Pernice on last weekend's show due to 'medical reasons'.
Former Strictly star and host Fleur East broke the news on Strictly's spin-off show It Takes Two on Monday night (October 23) which came as a shock to fans.
After introducing the programme, Fleur said: "We've received the news that Amanda is not returning to Strictly." She then read out an official statement from a Strictly spokesperson, which read: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
