BBC Strictly Come Dancing star faces 'tough battle' for Glitterball trophy in pre-final blow

It's been suggested that one Strictly Come Dancing will face a 'tough battle' for the Glitterball trophy this weekend in a blow just before the final.

The couples who have made it through to the last week of the competition have been busy in rehearsals this week as they preapre to take to the ballroom floor for the final time with free dances each in a bid to be crowend the 2024 series champions.

Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal's gutting exit in the semi-final meant that Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell and Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec will compete in the Strictly 2024 final on Saturday night (December 14). READ MORE: ITV I'm A Celebrity's Coleen Rooney 'overwhelmed' as she addresses jungle stint for first time amid reunion plans In a bid to be crowned champions and get their hands on the Glitterball trophy, each couple will have to perform three dances each - their favourite dance of the series, the judge’s pick and a spectacular show dance JB and Lauren will perform a Show Dance to a Motown Medley, a Viennese Waltz to Let’s Go Fly A Kite from Mary Poppins and a Samba to Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes, while Chris and Dianne's Show Dance will be to You Get What You Give by New Radicals and they'll perform their couple’s Choice to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon and a Waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers.

Sarah and reigning champion Vito will perform their Show Dance to Cabaret by Metropole Orkest as well as their American Smooth to Proud by Heather Small and Cha Cha to Like A Prayer by Madonna, while Tasha and Aljaz will perform their Show Dance to Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman as well as their Couple’s Choice
