The pair were the eighth couple to be eliminated from the BBC One dance contest last weekend. Opera singer Wynne and his professional dance partner Katya had to bounce back as they headed to Blackpool for the show's annual special in the world-famous Tower Ballroom having found themselves saved from elimination the previous weekend after landing in the bottom two with Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.
Their Blackpool appearance saw Wynne finish their Charleston routine by swinging his dance partner by her feet. Anton Du Beke praised Wynne's dance to Georges Bizet’s Carmen Suite No 1: 5.
