Wynne Evans has been delivered a 'glimmer of hope' as he prepares for his next Strictly Come Dancing performance. The opera singer had to fight for his place in the competition last weekend alongside dance partner Katya Jones.
Last Saturday night (November 9), Wynne was praised for improving his footwork following his performance of an American Smooth to Grace Kelly by Mika with Katya, for which the pair were awarded 32 points out of a possible 40 from the judges.
Despite the praise, as mentioned, Wynne and Katya had to fight for their place in week nine of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series during the latest results show on Sunday (November 10) after landing in the dance-off against Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu. READ MORE: BBC Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special 2024 line-up announced as history made Both couples had to reprise their week eight performances and after both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts: Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Shayne and Nancy, as did Motsi, while Anton Du Beke chose to save Wynne and Katya.
With two votes in favour of Shayne and Nancy, the decision came down to head judge Shirley, who decided to save Wynne and Katya.
