Chris McCausland has revealed what surprised him about taking part in Strictly Come Dancing in an emotional update about his time on the hit dance show.

As fans saw, last year the comedian was paired with professional dancer Dianne Buswell for the BBC One dance contest's 2024 series, Chris has previously shared how he'd turned down Strictly bosses in previous years but eventually relented and agreed to take to the dancefloor.

He was seen being paired with Australian dancer Dianne back in September and after three months of performing in the show's famous ballroom, they made it through to the glittering grand final in December where they were crowned the series champions.

They were seen facing competition from fellow finalists Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to lift the famous Glitterball trophy after breaking into tears.
