BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland 'thought dancing was terrifying' as major career move uncovered

Chris McCausland has joked that he thought Strictly Come Dancing was 'terrifying' before he signed on the dotted line for his latest career move.

The comedian hasn't slowed down since lifting the famous Glitterball trophy at the end of the BBC One dance contest's 2024 run last month (December), alongside his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell.

Chris - who was Strictly's first-ever blind contestant and winner - and Dianne were paired together for the 20th-anniversary series of the show in September and were eventually crowned champions of the hit programme's 20th-anniversary series.

They beat off stiff competition from fellow finalists Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to lift the famous Glitterball trophy, which Chris as 'astonishing'.
