Amy Dowden has told fans to 'not get bitter' as she reflected on the last year. The Strictly Come Dancing star has had another rollercoaster off a year off the back of being diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing treatment in 2023.

In Feburary, Amy revealed she was told there was "no evidence of disease" following a health check but that she wouldn't get the 'all-clear' of cancer for five years.

She then later made a much-welcomed return to the Strictly ballroom where she was paired with JLS star JB Gill. However, the dancer's return to the BBC One dance contest was cut short when she suffered an injury at the end of October.

The injury to her foot, which wasn't releated to any other health concerns experienced previously, meant she couldn't continue in the 2024 run of the competition and was replaced by fellow pro Lauren Oakley.
