BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden 'not ok' as she offers injury update after heartbreaking exit

Amy Dowden has admitted she'd be 'lying if she said she was ok' as she made a vow following her heartbreaking injury setback.

The dancer made a triumphant return to Strictly Come Dancing earlier this year after being forced to miss the last series for cancer treatment.

But earlier this month, Amy was forced to miss the first-ever 'Icons Week' on Strictly after "falling ill" the weekend before and missing a week of rehearsals to rest.

As a result, Amy's fellow pro Lauren Oakley stepped in so JB could continue to perform in the first-ever 'Icons Week'. But soon after, it was confirmed that due to a foot injury, 34-year-old Amy needed to recover and therefore couldn't continue in the competition.
