Strictly Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington was snapped looking exhausted and gloomy as she left rehearsals without her pro partner Giovanni Pernice earlier this week.

Fans of the glamorous show were dealt with a heartbreaking blow on Saturday when it was revealed Amanda would not be on screens this weekend, reports OK!The news was confirmed on Friday, when the It Takes Two host Janette Manrara explained that Amanda had pulled out of the performance due to medical reasons.

The announcement came after the star was snapped looking exhausted as she left dress rehearsals for the competition, in pictures seen on OK!.The 49-year-old - who was one of the first stars to be revealed on this years Strictly Come Dancing line-up - looked worse for wear in the newly released snaps.

She was spotted sporting casual grey tracksuit bottoms and a navy hooded jumper whilst she kept her hair scraped away from her face, pairing it with a simple black headband.Amanda, who is best known for her roles as the mysterious Mary Morstan in Sherlock and Josie Mardle in Mr Selfridge, appeared to go make-up free during her dance rehearsals..On It Takes Two, host Janette told viewers: "We have some breaking news, unfortunately due to medical reasons, Amanda will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend."Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, Amanda and Giovanni will return the following week.
