Strictly Come Dancing fans have rushed to defend Pete Wicks and share their hope he 'gets to the final'. The reality TV star and podcast host was seen taking part in the semi-final of the BBC One dance contest on Saturday night (December 7).

It was the penultimate week of the competition, and all five couples who had me it through were tasked with dancing two dances each for the first time inthis series in a bid to make it through to next weekend's final.

Pete and his dance partner Jowita Przystal divided the judges when they performed a foxtrot to Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darin, which earned them a total of 32 points. Their second dance was a tango to Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve which Craig said "lacked any Argentine tango technique whatsoever".
