BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2024 final 'one horse race' with 'shock' if one star doesn't win

The Strictly Come Dancing final is nearly upon is and despite four couples being ready to vie for the coveted Glitterball trophy, it's said to be a 'one horse race'.

Another series of the much-loved dance show comes to an end on Saturday night (December 14) after the competition started 13 weeks ago back in September with 15 new famous faces ready to take on the dancing challenge.

Now, just Chris McCausland, Sarah Hadland, JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri and their respective professional partners - Dianne Buswell, Vito Coppola, Lauren Oakley and Aljaz Skorjanec - remain. Reflecting back on the series, host Tess Daly said the bonds that have been formed on the show have been “so unique". She added: "The secret behind them I believe is laughter – our couples have had so much fun this year – not only on the floor, but with the Judges too and up in Claud’s area. "The judges have been amazing once again this year – highlights include the brilliant costumes on theme weeks, who can forget Anton as Rod Stewart on our debut icons week and Shirley flying in as Mary Poppins for movie week.
