Comedian Janey Godley has confirmed that she's now moved to a hospice after revealing that she is receiving end-of-life care amid her ovarian cancer battle. The 63 year old Scottish star has been regularly updating fans on X, formerly Twitter, since being diagnosed with the disease in 2021.Taking to the social media platform on Thursday (3 October), she told her followers: "At the hospice now," as she shared a picture of her room, which showed a peaceful-looking view of a garden.

Janey was showered with well-wishes, with fellow comedian Sarah Millican replying with four red love heart emojis. Someone else said: “That’s a nice ground floor room, with a view of greenery and sky.

Having visited several times a friend in a Marie Curie hospice, I know how caring, how relaxed the atmosphere will be. Lots of love and hugs.” A third added: "Thanks you for sharing this very personal experience.

I am 100% sure that your openness on this sensitive subject will help many others going through similar circumstances." Last week, Janey posted a heartfelt video, sharing that she's entering palliative care and will be moving into a hospice after running out of treatment options. "The chemo ran out of options, and I couldn't take anymore of it," she said. "The cancer has spread, so it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it, and it's really difficult to speak about this and say it to people." She continued: "It is devastating news, to know that I'm facing end of life but we all come to an end some time.
