BBC Strictly Come Dancing chiefs have reportedly entered "crisis talks" regarding Nick Knowles' participation in the show. Show bosses have put together an "emergency plan" as the TV presenter's continued involvement "hangs in the balance" after he suffered an arm injury while on the motorway.The decision on whether he can carry on with the BBC dance show will rest with the medical professionals.

Nick, 62, is said to have sustained the injury whilst changing a tyre, Birmingham Live reports.Reports suggest that "anxious" producers have come up with an "emergency plan" to determine their next steps.A source told the Mail: "They are all anxiously waiting to get the all clear from the medical team about Nick being able to compete this weekend, but are determined not to lose him from the show."The insider mentioned that Nick might receive a "free pass" to the next round due to his injury.

They added: "He is such a popular figure with viewers, and if he needs time to recover he will get a free pass to return the following week, all being well. "If that bothers other contestants, then so be it.

The bosses want him back."Another source commented: "Nick is desperate to dance but the BBC are putting his health above everything."He spent all of today with doctors and physios and he said he'll do anything he can to dance again.
