Nick Knowles battled to perform over the weekend but sadly, his Strictly Come Dancing journey has come to an end. The DIY SOS star was only cleared to dance just 24 hours before week four of the BBC One dance contest on Saturday night (October 12).

Nick was unable to take part in last weekend's movie-themed special due to injury. He injured his knee after falling during rehearsals but was cleared to dance during the latest live show by the medical and physio teams on Friday (October 11).

To help with matters, Nick, 62, and his professional dance partner, Luba Mushtuk, performed the routine they had planned for movie week, a Charleston to Rain On The Roof from the Paddington 2 soundtrack. But during Sunday night's (October 13) results show, Nick and Luba landed in the dreaded dance-off against singer and ctor Shayne Ward and his professional dance partner Nancy Xu.

Both couples had to perform their Saturday night routines again, with Shayne and Nancy reprising their cha cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub featuring Melanie Williams while Nick and Luba danced their Charleston to Rain On The Roof from the Paddington 2 soundtrack.
