Emily Maitlis has finally spoken out about the Netflix film 'Scoop', which dramatises her headline-making interview with Prince Andrew, but she's made a surprising confession she hasn't actually watched the controversial movie yet.
The streaming giant dropped the film on Friday, and it's been getting mixed reactions. The flick stars Gillian Anderson, 55, as Emily, 53, while Rufus Sewell, 56, steps into the shoes of Prince Andrew, 64. 'Scoop' also features Billie Piper, 41, in the role of producer Sam McAlister, who is known for nailing down the interview and penned the book 'Scoops', which reportedly inspired the Netflix offering.
Currently busy with an Amazon three-part series about the same Royal interview, Emily chatted with Deadline about the Netflix portrayal.
She's kept her distance from the 'Scoop' project, feeling that the creators should have their own space, and she reckons there's enough room in the market for both versions to coexist.
