As more celebrities and colleagues speak out about their experience with Gregg Wallace, who stepped down from Masterchef last week amid allegations of inappropriate behaviour, it has now been reported that complaints were made to the BBC about Gregg ten years ago.The presenter appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, and reportedly found himself in hot water as at least one member of the show complained to bosses about his behaviour and sexual comments.
While meetings are said to have taken place early in the series, Gregg remained on the show with dance partner Aliona Vilani until becoming the first celebrity to be eliminated during week two of the show.
A source told The Sun: “The situation around his behaviour was made very clear to Strictly staff. "It included sexual comments which made people feel incredibly uncomfortable.
It created a very strained atmosphere backstage," they continued before probing "Why did Strictly bosses allow Wallace to stay on the show?" OK!
