The BBC's Gavin and Stacey aired its last ever episode Christmas Day. And actor Oscar Hartland, who played Neil the Baby, has revealed the kind gesture stars James Corden and Ruth Jones gifted him ahead of the finale.
The teenage actor played the role on the hit sitcom since he was a baby, and has since announced: "Gavin and Stacey has always been very close to my heart as it’s what got me into the industry.
It opened my mind up to what I love doing, it will always be something I can be proud of." When previously asked what makes the show so popular, Oscar responded: "The reason the show has done so well is that it’s something people from all ages can relate to.
Crossed with amazingly written characters and a realistic story. The best part about it is that I think people can believe that these things are actually happening in Barry or Billericay." Oscar's character performed a rendition of The Beatles track Blackbird at his Smithy's (his dad) wedding to then-girlfriend Sonia.
