EastEnders is gearing up to mark its 40th anniversary on 19 February. The popular BBC One soap first graced our screens back in the 80s, with its inaugural episode airing on 19 February 1985.
Over the decades, viewers have been treated to a host of memorable characters and dramatic plotlines set in Albert Square. As we approach the 40th anniversary of EastEnders, let's take a moment to recognise some of the stars who have left Walford for Hollywood....
Ben Hardy, known to fans as Peter Beale, joined the cast in 2013 and remained until 2015, before the role was taken over by Thomas Law.
Since leaving Albert Square, Ben, now 34, has made a name for himself in Hollywood, notably playing Roger Taylor in the acclaimed biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, alongside Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton.
