Since first arriving on our screens last Summer, it’s safe to say that George Knight hasn’t had the easiest time of it in Walford.

In the nine months since his debut, George has been confronted with his ex-wife Rose, discovered her real name was actually Cindy Beale and that she had been living under a false identity in a witness protection program!

He also discovered that his adoptive parents had paid to adopt him as part of a process calling ‘farming’ which saw children advertised for money for parents looking to give children a home.

In a further harrowing blow, it later emerged that his adoptive father Eddie was a notorious racist and had actually murdered George’s birth father!
