BBC Breakfast star Louise Minchin is leaving the show after 16 years so her co-stars threw her a fabulous farewell bash to mark her time at the station.

The broadcaster's last day on the famous red sofa will be on Wednesday, September 15. Fellow stars Dan Walker, Naga Munchetty, Charlie Stayt, Carol Kirkwood and Steph McGovern showed a montage of the 53-year-old’s best moments over the years.Louise then shared a snap of the emotional moment on Instagram.

She wrote: “Not many early mornings left until I leave my wonderful friends and colleagues at #BBCBreakfast."And for old times’ sake, I had to stand and have a picture all made up and ready before my early leaving party!"Louise added: "That was fun!"The TV star announced that she would be.
