BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty apologised live on air to a guest after a mix-up. Hosting alongside Charlie Stayt on Thursday (January 2) morning, the duo informed viewers of the tragic news that at least 15 individuals had lost their lives and another 30 were injured in New Orleans following an intentional attack by a pickup truck driver on a crowd gathered on Bourbon Street during New Year's festivities.

The perpetrator has been identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, with the FBI stating they do not believe Jabbar acted alone in the incident and have appealed for public assistance.

The FBI is probing Jabbar's "potential associations and affiliations" with terrorist groups. An improvised explosive device was found in the truck, and additional potential IEDs were located in the French Quarter, according to the FBI.

During an interview with eyewitness Scott Nelson, who was at a nightclub near Bourbon Street when the horror unfolded, Naga encountered a hiccup when she seemed to become confused.
