Clare Balding is set to host this year's Trooping the Colour for the BBC, bringing viewers all the updates from the royal spectacle, minute by minute.The 53 year old English broadcast journalist and author, who currently presents for BBC Sport, Channel 4 and BT Sport, will be on hand for everything that happens at the event on Saturday, 15 June, which will mark King Charles' official birthday.
Outside of her official presenting duties, Clare lives a quiet life with her wife, Alice Arnold, 61, who she has been with for nearly two decades.
Back in 2013, the BBC was forced to apologise after broadcasting a Radio 5 Live satirical panel debate about "curing" Clare Balding of being a lesbian.
The broadcaster received 19 complaints after it showed a Saturday live edition of the BBC Radio 5 Live show, Fighting Talk, in which contestants were asked to discuss whether Clare should present racing shows topless.
