An Antiques Roadshow expert refused to assess a historical item that a guest had "found in his garage". The popular BBC programme, hosted by Fiona Bruce, returned for another episode on Sunday December 8, this time visiting Beaumaris Castle in Anglesey, North Wales.As usual, members of the public were eager to have their treasures evaluated by experts.
However, things took an uncomfortable turn when specialist Hilary Kay refused to value one particular item, the Express reports.During the episode, a guest presented a brass rowlock mounted on a board, inscribed with 'Titanic Lifeboat no.
3', believed to be a fragment from the infamous ship's lifeboat.The guest explained to Hilary that he discovered the item in the corner of a garage after purchasing a new house.
As Hilary provided information about Titanic Lifeboat no. 3, she mentioned that although it could accommodate 65 people, only around 36 to 38 were believed to have been onboard.
