Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are due to make a return to training on Monday, despite the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. It will be the first time the reigning German champions have trained since the Bundesliga was suspended due to COVID-19 on March 13.

The German Football League has recommended that clubs do not go back to training until April 5 and Bayern have now confirmed their squad will resume training in small groups on Monday.

A club statement read: "The FC Bayern Munich first team will return to training in small groups from Monday, 6 April. This will be done in coordination with government policy and the relevant authorities. "It goes without saying that all hygiene regulations will be strictly observed.
