A group of inmates caused havoc at Barlinnie jail after climbing onto the roof of a bus shelter this afternoon. Jail bosses confirmed an incident took place at the Glasgow prison when four cons managed to find their way to the top of the exercise yard shelter.The lags refused to come down for an hour after negotiations with prison staff.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Prison Service said the incident was not to do with the Covid-19 outbreak and shut down reports they had made their way onto the prison roof.
