Barack & Michelle Obama Endorse Kamala Harris For President

The former POTUS ended days of speculation by saying Joe Biden‘s replacement has the “vision, the character, and the strength that this critical moment demands” in a joint statement with his wife, the former first lady.
The statement was paired with a video of the Obamas calling Harris. “We call to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you,” Barack Obama can be heard saying in the video. “Oh my goodness,” Harris responds. “Michelle, Barack, this means so much to me.” The statement from the former White House inhabitants said that they could not be “more thrilled to endorse” Harris.
They vowed to do “everything we can” to elect her and said they “agree with President Biden,” who lended Harris his endorsement almost immediately after pulling out of the race over the weekend.
But while other former Democrats like Bill and Hillary Clinton were almost immediate with their backing of Harris, the Obama’s decision to wait a few days has led to fevered speculation.
