dailyrecord.co.ukCustomers of a range of banks have been issued a warning over a worrying spate of branch closures. The concerns follow a mutual agreement with LINK, a service which documents branch and bank closures across the UK.
The service recently revealed that the 1,000th closure occurred this weekend. LINK is urging customers to "get in touch" if their local branch has closed and they are unaware of their nearest branch.
The latest closure saw a Virgin Money branch close. However, every major bank - from NatWest and Halifax to Barclays, Lloyds, HSBC, Santander - has shut sites recently.
A total of 81 branches have shut their doors, reports Birmingham Live.A spokesperson for Virgin Money said: “The decision to close a store is never taken lightly.
