The find comes months after English cops launched a similar probe into 'twenty poond' notes that were being used south of the border.In September, Cornwall shopkeepers were stunned when they were handed the money, which police think might have originated in Scotland due to the spelling.A statement released by Dumfries and Galloway division today reads: "In recent days counterfeit Bank of England £50 notes have been received in retail premises within Stranraer.
