Bullet Train is based on the book of the same name by Japanese author Kotaro Isaka and will be directed by David Leitch of Hobbs & Shaw and Deadpool 2.
Boardwalk Empire's Michael Shannon is also set to star in the film. Penguin's website contains a plot synopsis of Isaka's book: "Five assassins find themselves on a bullet train from Tokyo competing for a suitcase full of money."
