B&M has announced it will be shutting four of its shops over the next coming weeks - with one in Scotland set to close its doors.
The failing popularity of the high street is responsible for many retailers being forced to close down recently. However, this is not the case for this instance, bosses have said.
Instead it's because of additional stores opening and other "additional factors" that mean certain shops will shut. One of the units in England has already closed this year, with three more planned for 2023.
The Mirror reports that the B&M store that's currently based at Queens Drive Retail Park in Kilmarnock is currently transitioning over to its new site at Glencairn Retail Park. The new B&M store opened on Saturday, February 4, and the older site will stop trading towards the end of this month on March 26.It's set to sell food and non-food items and the service yard at the rear changed to form a garden centre.
