Ayr United chairman Lachlan Cameron will ask his Board to back SPFL proposals on calling a halt to the 2019/20 season.Extending the current campaign to allow completion would "basically be impossible," said Cameron.And although his preferred option is to declare the season null and void, the Ayr chief confessed the "next best thing" is the option put forward by league bosses today.All SPFL clubs are to be given a vote on ending the current season with standings as they are, based on points accrued per game.That would see Dundee United promoted from the Championship, while former Ayr boss Ian McCall would endure relegation with Partick Thistle.Raith Rovers would be promoted from League One, while Cove Rangers would come up from League Two.A
