A woman who was physically and mentally abused by her violent partner who first portrayed himself as a 'prince charming' has spoken out on the horrific ordeal she faced in a bid to encourage other victims to come forward.
Laura Williams said when she first met Jamie Thomas in 2018 he came across as the 'good guy', Wales Online reports. She was warned by other people about his history of domestic abuse, but he convinced her that he had changed.
The pair got engaged in 2019 and Thomas did everything he could to convince Laura that she was 'the love of her life'. But after around eight months, his jealousy and abuse began. He bit her, broke her ribs and dragged her by her hair. Whenever Laura thought about leaving the relationship, he would threaten her with suicide.
