Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer The release date for “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has once again been pushed back at Ubisoft.
Shifting from Feb. 14 to March 20, the delay “will allow the team to better incorporate the player feedback gathered over the past three months and help create the best conditions for launch by continuing to engage closely with the increasingly positive ‘Assassin’s Creed’ community.” This marks the second release date change for the video game, which was originally moved from its planned Nov.
15, 2024 launch to Feb. 14, 2025 at Ubisoft last September. The shift was attributed to quality concerns related to poor performance for “Star Wars Outlaws” at the time.
Ubisoft announced the release date switch in a larger “strategic update” press release Thursday, which also disclosed the company is preparing itself for a potential sale, as previously rumored.
