ASOS, the online fashion retailer that sells over 850 brands alongside its own range of clothing and accessories, left shoppers surprised after revealing what its name stands for - a fact which remained unknown for 24 years.
The company was established by Nick Robertson, Andrew Regan, Quentin Griffiths, and Deborah Thorpe, and it ships to all 195 countries including the UK, US, and Europe.
Since its inception in 2000, ASOS has grown significantly, acquiring Topshop, Topman and Miss Selfridge from Philip Green's defunct Arcadia Group.
Interestingly, ASOS started as a platform selling replicas of outfits worn by celebrities on TV, in films, and music videos.
