A shopper was punched in the face and left with cuts and "significant" bruises - because he politely asked a woman not to touch the items he was going to buy.
Police say the victim, 38, was verbally abused and hit in a branch of Asda by a thug who is believed to be a friend or partner of the woman.
Officers are now investigating the attack, which took place in Wolverhampton, West Midlands at roughly 2.30pm on December 21.
West Midlands Police has released an image of a man in a blue gilet they would like to speak to in connection with the assault.
